The Puppy Passport is the ideal starting point for new puppy owners, and it’s very popular with the young families moving into Ladera Ranch. It covers the essentials every pup and household needs: potty training, crate training, leash manners, reliable recall, and three to five basic commands. Getting these foundations right early is the single best way to prevent bigger behavior problems later, and it establishes a calm, trusting relationship from the very beginning.
Dog Training Basics is a comprehensive obedience program with an introduction to socialization, available as a 5-session or 10-session package. This is the right fit for most adult dogs who never had formal training or who have picked up a few unwanted habits. By the end, your dog knows the core commands and responds to them consistently, even with the distractions of a busy neighborhood.
Premium All-Around Training includes everything in the basics and goes further, adding deeper socialization, street safety, pool safety, and some light agility. Given how much time Ladera Ranch dogs spend out on the trails and around other people and pets, this is a great fit for families who want a dog that’s reliable in the community, not just calm at home.
The Advanced Canine Good Citizen program takes your dog all the way to official AKC certification. It builds on every earlier skill and finishes with mastery of the ten skills the American Kennel Club requires. As a certified CGC evaluator, I can both prepare your dog and conduct the evaluation, so you finish with a nationally recognized credential that proves your dog is a model canine citizen.
Every one of these programs runs on positive reinforcement. I’m experienced in the full range of training methods and I respect each client’s preferences, but rewarding the behavior you want, so your dog willingly chooses it, is at the heart of everything I do.
A great many of the behavior problems I’m called about aren’t really training failures. They’re energy problems. A dog that isn’t getting enough physical exercise and mental stimulation will invent its own entertainment, and it’s usually something you won’t enjoy: chewing, digging, nonstop barking, or tearing around the house the moment you walk in.

You get text, photo, and video updates during the visit and a short report at the end, so you always know how it went. Walks come in 30- or 60-minute options, additional dogs join at a discount, and there are further discounts on group and pre-pay arrangements. When one specific behavior is making life difficult, general obedience isn’t always enough on its own, and that’s where my behavior correction work comes in.
